High Intensity Classes

class Description

High intensity interval training or HIIT workouts involved short periods or bursts of intense exercise followed by even shorter recovery periods. 
eg. 45sec Pushups --> 15sec Rest --> repeat


HIIT workouts are great for weight loss and they can quickly increase fitness, strength and energy levels.

Our HIIT classes are focused on aerobic and explosive strength.  

HIIT workouts also increase your resting metabolic rate for up to 48 hours!

HIIT workouts are usually 10-30 minutes so they are great for those with busy schedules!

Class Structure

We have 3 different HIIT Classes
All classes start with a light warmup

full body with WEIGHTS

30 Minutes
These classes focus on improving cardiovascular fitness & full body strength in a fast, intense way
1 Superset of 6 Exercises
Round 1
Pushups
Lunges
Jumping Jacks
Plank

core n cardio

30 Minutes
Same structure as above except exercises are focused on strengthening the core and improving cardiovascular fitness.
The kinds of exercises we do in these classes are planks. sit-ups, bicycles plus some fun and challenging variations and many others

cardio blast

15-20 Minutes
These classes are short & sweaty!
The focus is getting the heart rate up quickly
They follow the same structure except with intervals of 30s with 5sec recovery time

Functional Strength Classes

class Description

Our Body Conditioning classes are full body workouts that strengthen the body, build a stronger core and tone your physique.

The classes combine strength exercises with endurance training and cardiovascular fitness.

Body Conditioning workouts are great for building overall muscle strength & improving overall resilience - reducing the likelihood of injury. 

Regular exercise also helps to improve energy levels & keep the immune system strong!

Body Conditioning classes are usually 35-40 minutes and are focused on full activation & strengthening of the muscles.

Class Structure

This structure is simply a guideline 

functional strength with equipment

35-40 mins
Our Functional Strength workouts involve some equipment
We will usually use one of a fitness ball, theraband, resistance bands, a small ball or some weights.
3 sets of up to 8 exercises each
We focus on doing repetitions of exercises using proper form to achieve full muscle activation.
Sets 1 & 2 usually focus on full body muscle strengthening exercises
Set 3 is core focused using the equipment for the day.
For on-demand members, 1 Functional Strength Class a week will use a fitness ball and the other will use one of a theraband, resistance bands, a small ball or some weights.

Pilates Classes

class Description

Pilates trains the body as an integrated whole. 
It helps to strengthen muscles while also improving mobility, flexibility and posture.  

Pilates places emphasis on engaging & strengthening the core while simultaneously focusing on the breath. This helps to deliver more oxygen to the muscles as well as improving focus & concentration.

Pilates is well known to relieve back & shoulder pain caused by sitting hours at a desk. 

Pilates workouts are low-impact and suitable for any fitness level
Our Pilates workouts are 30-45 mins and there is no set structure.
